Start at the Beginning

for anyone who still cares about this comic or me

ok so pretty much everyone has accepted that this comic is dead and will never come back.

because it is.
don't tell me you were expecting me to revive it or something.
i don't need to explain PAF's death to you, you know the story even if you don't know the story.

BUT! I, for one, am most certainly not dead, and neither is my desire to share an original creative vision with the world!(emphasis on original) So, for those that are interested in seeing how my new, (hopefully) improved exploits will go, allow me to direct you to 20XSquared! (http://www.smackjeeves.com/comicprofile.php?id=175298)

What is 20XSquared? Glad you asked! Or didn't, I don't know. I'm not Dora, I won't tell you lies. 20XSquared is a original comic based on the competitive Super Smash Brothers Melee meme of 20XX. In the hypothetical year 20XX(which is itself a Mega Man reference), everyone plays Fox to TAS(tool-assisted superplay) levels of perfection, so all matches are decided by playing Rock-Paper-Scissors for port priority. In order to prevent this, our main character Ben, the last Marth main on the planet, must go back in time to stop the Foxpocalypse from supposedly ruining the Melee metagame.

Where is 20XSquared? Well, this should go before "What is 20XSquared" if I want to be accurate to the joke, but from a serious standpoint this makes more sense. Regardless, it's at the link above. Nothing's there right now, but please, stay tuned!

Why is 20XSquared? I love Melee. I love memes. I love comics. I love interesting plots. I really love comics with interesting plots referencing Melee and memes. What's not to love?

That's all for now. See you all later!

Results + New Tourney

September 13th, 2016, 11:09 pm

So, I know this is late, but life stuff happens and this is late.

So this is how the tournament went down pretty much. I went 3-2 in bracket, which was pretty good for being the youngest one there. Basically, for the unoriented, that just means I won 3 out of my 5 matches in bracket. Pretty much the only character I used the entirety of the time was Cloud, although I tried counterpicking Sonic against a Bayonetta and I ended up getting rekt. In hindsight, staying Cloud would\'ve been a much better option. At that point, however, staying in bracket longer would\'ve cut into my sleeping time, so, sacrifices had to be made.

Also for the unoriented, tourney standards are as follows...
-2 stock
-6 minutes
-Best of 3 game (Unless it\'s a Top 8 set)
-Double Elimination

Legal Stage List
Starters : Battlefield/Miiverse, Final Destination, Smashville, Lylat Cruise, Town & City
Counterpicks: Duck Hunt, Dream Land 64

Determining Stage choice:
First Game: Both player rock-paper-scissors. The winner strikes a starter stage, the loser strikes two starter stages, then the winner picks from the two starter stages that are left.
All Other Games: The winner of the previous game bans one stage from the stage list, including the counterpick stages. The loser then chooses from any of the remaining stages.

My first set was against a Peach and Rosa main. These two aren\'t particulary hard matchups for Cloud, so I took both games easy-peasy without even dropping a stock. The only highlight-worthy moment was during game 2. I was at 120%, two stocks and Rosa was at 98%, one stock. I had Limit Break, so I Limit Break Cross Slashed to kill Luma. Right as the Cross Slash ended, the very tip of the last hit connected with Rosa\'s hurtbox, and somehow it was enough to kill.

My second set was against a Meta Knight main. Once again, not a hard matchup for Cloud(who probably has the best matchup spread in the game XD), especially considering Cloud\'s disjoint is much bigger than Meta Knight\'s, so I took another match easy-peasy. I dropped a stock this time in a game, but I still hadn\'t dropped a game at that point, so I was still pretty confident.

The third set didn’t go nearly as well for me. I ran into this really good Diddy Kong player and I ended up losing the set 2-0, dropping to losers bracket.

And the last two sets are up on YouTube, so I hopefully don’t have to say anything. Oh yeah, except for… please don’t judge me for “counter”picking Sonic. I’m not really experienced in the Bayonetta matchup, and I’ve already gotten a lot of shit from my friends for choosing Sonic when my Cloud is clearly much better.

Anyways, enough about the past. I’ll most likely be going to another local on the 17th, just thought you might want to know. There is no Twitch page for it, so you can’t follow my progress there, but I’ll keep people posted with PMs if they so wish. Here’s the event page:

EDIT: Apparently 41 minutes is too long of a time to drive to go to tournament so dad won\'t take me cri evrytiem
it\'s ok
just 2 more years
git me a driver\'s license

That’s all for now. I’ll probably be posting a lot of this stuff on the PAF news from now on for those that want to know this, thanks for putting up with all this stuff.

Buh baiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

BTW for PAF stuff I\'m still working on the new page and stuff so stay patient peeps
It\'ll be ready in the next 2 weeks hopefully

My First Local!

September 5th, 2016, 7:32 pm

Hey guys, I know this is a little of a last minute notice, but... today I'm going to my first local Sm4sh Tournament! Just thought you might like to know so you can come and watch me compete!

The stream link is over here, for those that want to watch it. -> www.twitch.tv/cpsiv

Just so you know, the tourney begins at 7:30 PST today(9/5/2016), so if you're a little late in reading this announcement, you might still make it.

And as another little side note, don't try looking for a player under the tag bluefiredragon, if you find one it won't be me. As a general rule of thumb, catking101 is gonna be the tag I go buy in the Smash community, so remember that.

Where do I go from here?

April 29th, 2016, 9:15 pm

OK guys, I've got a decision to make, but I can't do it without you.

Where do I go from here? Should I continue to remake the comic? If so, up to which point exactly? Or should I jump back to chapter 3 and finish that? (Warning: Chapter 3 might be longer than all three previous chapters combined. Just saying. Pick your choice with caution!)

Just for your convenience, here's a list of pros for each side!

+ Less erratic and dramatic changes in art style when reading through the entire thing
+ Kick-ass versions of the previously lackluster gym battles
+ More room for personality development and backstory
+ Not having to wreck continutity when we suddenly come back to where we were and the characters actually have decent personalities
+ Cranking out art faster, since new art is based off of old events

No Remakes
+ Progress
+ Legitamite plot development
+ A chance for me to actually get back into playing Pokemon Yellow

What do you think? Leave your opinion in the comments! I'll make the final decision on the 27th of May, so stay tuned!

So, if you're a more recent fan(we've had quite a few, welcome! :D), a braindead idiot(well, you WERE smart enough to press the "Add to Favorites" button, so THAT's unlikely), or just a lazy @$$(-koffkoff- me when I haven't updated in 20 days because I keep watching too much Youtube), you probably have no clue where little 'ol blu is going with his updates. When will he actually work on progressing the story line? No one KNOWS!

Just kidding, I know, because I'm me and I'm not too lazy to plan ahead. So, the plan is to simply remake the entire 0th chapter, bit by bit, since only 2 people volunteered their thoughts on the current pages. After that, I'm going to get back to work on the main storyline. After I finish the 3rd chapter, I'll go back and remake the 1st. Seem fair to you? Let me know, because your thoughts are important to me! But not more important than air. I can't go without air.

Also, something new is in the air and it is ABSOLultely radical!

ASDFJKL and the Qwertyists is a comic where YOU, the author, tell your random life stories... BUT WITH ALL THE RANDOM EXAGGERATIONS OF A PAUL BUNYAN TALL TALE!!. YEEEEEEE HAWW!!... Ok, no. No cowboy imitations. They hurt my ears. Check it out, because we'd appreciated any support we can get! (Almost) all authors accepted to this... really wacky slice of life comic with magical hyper eevees.
